Rod Seal
Description
RBR the seal has been specially designed to function as head seal in combination with an asymmetrical U-cuff (eg. RSA)
Its function is to maintain the working pressure of the secondary seal. It does not provide full sealing, which makes the formation of an oil-pressure chamber between the two seals. Thanks to the seal RBR special design, the pressure in the chamber is released into the cylinder when a determined pressure is achieved, so RBR also acts as a pressure relief valve and to compensate for pressure peaks.

Montage

Polyurethane seal is installed first and then back up the ring.
